NB Power is hosting an information session for residents of Pabineau First Nation on Wednesday, Sept 3, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Main Band Hall, 1290 Pabineau Road.

Come learn more about smart meters and what they mean for your home, your community, and the future of the power grid in New Brunswick. Representatives from the smart meter team will be available to answer your questions and hear your concerns.

This meeting will provide a space for open discussion about the impact of the Second-Generation Cut-Off rule, which limits eligibility for Indian status for the children of non-status individuals. It’s a critical issue for our community, and your voice and experience matter.

Let’s come together to share how this policy affects us, and discuss ways we can advocate for change. Together, we can work toward ensuring that our future generations are not excluded from the rights and status that are theirs by heritage.
