Join Us for the 2026 Winpegijuig Mawi'omi – Pabineau First Nation Annual Powwow
Pabineau First Nation is pleased to invite community members, friends, and visitors to the 2026 Winpegijuig Mawi'omi (Annual Powwow) taking place on July 4 and 5, 2026, at the beautiful Pabineau Powwow Grounds by the river.
This traditional Mi'gmaq Powwow is a special opportunity to come together in celebration of culture, community, and tradition. The weekend will feature traditional dancing, drumming, singing, ceremonies, food, vendors, and opportunities to connect with one another in a welcoming and respectful environment.
This year's gathering will feature:

Head Drum and Singers: Nagokcook Drum
Sandy Point Drum and Sacred Wolf Singers
Traditional dancers
Sacred Fire
Vendors, food, and refreshments throughout the weekend
The Powwow begins with the lighting of the Sacred Fire on Friday, followed by a full weekend of activities, including sunrise ceremonies, community breakfasts, Grand Entry, and evening meals.

Please note that this is a traditional Powwow. No drugs, alcohol, or substances are permitted, and pets are not allowed on the Powwow grounds.
