The session is part of a series of community engagement meetings taking place across MTI's member First Nations, providing opportunities for community members to learn more about fisheries governance, current initiatives and future opportunities.
Strengthening Fisheries Governance Through Community Voices
Fisheries have long held cultural, economic and community significance for Mi’gmaq First Nations.
Through these engagement sessions, MTI aims to connect directly with community members, answer questions and hear perspectives that can help inform its ongoing work.
The sessions provide an opportunity to discuss MTI's fisheries-related initiatives and ensure community priorities remain part of the conversation.
