Celebrating Aboriginal Day at Pabineau First Nation

A Day of Reflection and Gratitude

Aboriginal Day is a time to reflect on our history, heritage, and culture as Indigenous peoples. It’s a day to celebrate who we are and acknowledge the deep connections we have to the land, our ancestors, and each other. At Pabineau First Nation, this day is not only a celebration but also an opportunity to express our gratitude to those who walk the path of reconciliation with us.

As Chief Terry Richardson beautifully stated:

"As we celebrate Aboriginal Day today, we remember who we are as a people and our place in New Brunswick and Canada. We in Pabineau are thankful to all our friends and partners that have taken the path to economic reconciliation with us and, of course, our many friends who continue to grow our relationships together. Happy Aboriginal Day!!!"

A Day of Celebration, Reflection, and Gratitude

Aboriginal Day is more than just a celebration; it’s a reminder of the long journey we’ve traveled as a people. We take this day to reflect on our heritage, our strength, and the resilience of Indigenous peoples throughout history. In Pabineau, this day is celebrated with a sense of pride, as we come together to honor the past and look forward to a bright future built on unity, growth, and collaboration.

Economic Reconciliation: A Shared Journey

As we mark Aboriginal Day, we also take the time to acknowledge and express our deep appreciation for our partners and friends who have joined us on the path to economic reconciliation. Through collaboration and shared growth, we are building a future that reflects the values of both respect and prosperity. This year, we celebrate not only the culture and traditions that define us but also the progress we are making together as we work towards a more inclusive and equitable society.

Thank You to Our Partners and Friends

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported Pabineau First Nation and walked alongside us in the journey of reconciliation. Your commitment to partnership, respect, and mutual growth has made all the difference. Together, we are creating a future where the spirit of unity and collaboration will continue to thrive, benefitting not only our community but all of New Brunswick and Canada.

Happy Aboriginal Day!

We wish all of our community members, friends, and partners a Happy Aboriginal Day! Let’s continue to celebrate who we are as a people and the strength of the relationships we’ve built, moving forward together into a future of opportunity, respect, and reconciliation.
