🌬️ Virtual Engagement Session: Renewable Energy Projects Across Mi’kmaq Territory
On November 26, 2025, community members across Mi’gmawe’l Tplu’taqnn Inc. were invited to take part in a Virtual Community Engagement Session with Natural Forces to learn more about several key renewable energy projects currently underway in Mi’kmaq territory. These projects — Kci-Wocawson, Neweg, Paqt’smawei Sipu, and Salmon River — represent ongoing efforts to develop sustainable, long-term energy solutions in partnership with Mi’kmaq communities.
This session provided members with the opportunity to hear project updates and understand how these initiatives connect to community priorities, Treaty rights, and the protection of the land. Participants were encouraged to bring their questions, concerns, and perspectives, helping guide the future direction of these renewable energy developments.
