🌿 What Is the Equinox Program?

The Equinox Program provides flexible, short-term funding to support Indigenous artists and arts collectives. This program is designed to strengthen and uplift Indigenous arts communities while supporting meaningful creative work.

Funding can support:

  • research and development for the creation of new works

  • creation and presentation of artistic work

  • activities that support and strengthen the Indigenous arts community.

Whether you're developing a new body of work, presenting a performance, exploring new mediums, or building creative capacity within your community β€” this program may be for you.

Grant funds can be applied toward projects that:

  • Advance your artistic practice

  • Build capacity within Indigenous arts communities

  • Strengthen the broader Indigenous arts ecosystem

The program is intentionally flexible to support a wide range of disciplines and artistic expressions.
