🕯️ Event Details
Date: Thursday, October 3, 2025
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Monument at Pabineau
Special Call: Women of Pabineau are encouraged to bring their drums as we will gather around the fire and share in the Strong Woman Song.
This vigil is an opportunity to come together as a community, honour the lives of our missing and murdered sisters, and support families who continue to carry the weight of this ongoing tragedy. The act of drumming and singing together is not only a form of remembrance, but also an expression of strength, resilience, and solidarity.
Why This Matters
Across Canada, Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people experience disproportionate rates of violence. Vigils like this one are essential spaces to remember lives lost, uplift survivors, and stand in solidarity with families seeking justice. They also serve as powerful reminders that this crisis requires ongoing awareness, action, and change at every level of society.
Every voice matters. Every drumbeat matters. Together, we affirm that the lives of Indigenous women and girls are sacred.
