Pabineau First Nation invites the community and visitors to join us for our Annual Powwow (Winpegijuig Nnu'egati Mawi'omi), taking place from July 4th to July 6th at our beautiful grounds on 1290 Pabineau Falls Rd, Chaleur Rd, NB E2A 7M3, Canada. This vibrant celebration of Mi'kmaq culture and heritage is open to the public, offering a weekend full of dancing, ceremonies, vendors, and community spirit.
A Weekend of Cultural Celebration
Our Powwow is a time to gather in unity, celebrate our culture, and honor the traditions that have been passed down for generations. Whether you're a first-time attendee or a returning guest, there’s something for everyone to experience and enjoy. The event will feature a variety of exciting performances, cultural ceremonies, and moments to connect with our community and beyond.

Schedule of Events:
Sunrise Ceremony: Start your day with a sacred Sunrise Ceremony at dawn, held each day of the Pow Wow. It’s a peaceful way to connect with the land and set positive intentions for the day.
Grand Entry: Join us at 1:00 PM on Saturday for the Grand Entry, where the dancers will make their ceremonial entrance in full regalia, marking the official start of the Powwow.
Dinner: Enjoy a hearty meal during our community dinners on Saturday and Sunday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, a great time to sit with friends, family, and new acquaintances while enjoying traditional dishes.
Vendors: Explore a range of vendors offering Mi’kmaq arts, crafts, and local goods to take home as a reminder of this special event.
Dancing and Ceremony: Throughout the weekend, enjoy the traditional dancing and ceremonies that highlight the beauty and strength of our culture. From the energetic Jingle Dress Dancers to the powerful Men's Traditional Dancers, there will be plenty to witness and celebrate.
