What is Expected of you in Class?

As a learner you should:

  • be respectful to others;
  • at all times, act in a way that will reflect well on you and your class;
  • respect your teacher's requests as he directs the class;
  • respect what the teacher and other learners say even though you may not always agree with their opinions;
  • respect the property of the classroom, the teacher, and other learners;
  • take care of your personal property; and
  • follow the rules of conduct and attendance, and respect rules that apply to the operation of your program.

 

Any behavior that interferes with learning in the classroom is unacceptable. Unacceptable behavior includes:

  • violence, harm or threat of harm to others or their property;
  • endangering the health and safety of others;
  • acting or speaking in a disruptive, disorderly, indecent or offensive manner or in a way that causes fear;
  • damaging property n the classroom or removing property from the classroom without permission;
  • any kind of illegal activity;
  • use or possession of alcoholic beverages or non-medical drugs; and
  • smoking in the classroom.
