Councillor Fisher Richardson's Biography
My name is Edmond Brian Joseph Fisher Richardson and I am a member
of Pabineau First Nation. I will be running for council in
the next election. Along with Chief David Peter-Paul and Councillor
Barbara Calderone, I look forward to continuing the momentum of
moving the community forward in a positive direction.
I am 59 years old and I have three children Dallas, Keysha and Tanner. I have many various jobs that I have taken on in my lifetime to date. The first was serving in the Canadian Forces, I worked as well for Brunswick Mining in Dalhousie. After, I went out west to British Columbia to work in a pulp and paper mill. I returned to Dalhousie and worked in the Dalhousie Pulp and Paper mill for the last thirty years.
I have worked on the paper machines, which is the making of the
paper; I have worked as an oiler as well which is oiling these same
machines. I had other
jobs in the mill most labour related up to the last one I held until
my retirement due to the mill closing which was working in the TMP
department which is monitoring the pulp to ensure the quality is
correct for the production of paper. I have worked as well on the
Salmon enhancement project in Pabineau and most recently the Wind
mill project with SUEZ being my last employment.
As well I was involved with the lobster fisheries for a
period of time in which we fished a license for three to four years.
Also I have opened my home as a foster parent and I have had
a number of kids placed in my care who came from troubled homes.
Now that I am living back in Pabineau and I have a home here, I know
that I am ready to help keep Pabineau moving forward and as an
elected councillor I will ensure that I keep an open ear and work
with the elected members to ensure that your concerns and needs are
addressed to the best of Chief and Councils abilities.
I can guarantee an open ear and that if you have a concern
that you want addressed I will get an answer.
I look forward to serving you as a councillor in Pabineau and
with the TEAM continuing to move us forward.
If you wish to contact me,
please feel free to reach me at the office, my cellular phone, or by
email. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Fisher Richardson
