Education Background
I graduated from the Bathurst High School in 1997, the University and College Entrance Preparatory Program of the North Shore Micmac District Council in 1998, the "Business Technology" marketing program at the New Brunswick Community College in 2000, and the "Bachelor of Business Administration" program at the University of New Brunswick in 2005.
Stay in School
I value education! Staying in school is very important for our people, as Aboriginal youth are the fastest growing segment of Canada's population. According to Jane Stewart, former Minister of Human Resource Development, by 2004, 70 percent of all new jobs will require some sort of post-secondary education. It is essential that Aboriginals further their education in order to develop the confidence and skills needed to build a highly-skilled workforce within our communities.
The 4th Annual Atlantic Aboriginal Entrepreneur Awards Show was held in Charlottetown, PEI on September 17, 2008. Here are a few highlights of our evening.
