The Rose
There was a large crack in my
garden wall,
An unsightly thing to see
So I planted there a rose bush,
And cared each day for it tenderly.
I watched my rose grow in the
sunshine
Kissed by the morning dew,
It gladdened my heart
As it hid the large crack from my view.
One morning I walked in my
garden
To see how my rose was growing
Its branches had crept through the crack
In the wall and the flower was no longer showing.
So it is within God’s flower
garden
Some roses are hid from our view.
Rose branches creep towards the
pure sunlight
Thru the cracks life has to offer.
We are left with the thorny
stems
And our hearts take long to mend,
But in God’s garden, the roses grow tall
On the other side of the wall

This is a poem that we used for our mom's
prayer card.
While searching through mom's things, getting her affairs in order,
we came across this poem that mom had written. It seemed so
fitting to acknowledge mom with her own words.
